THE PRIVATE INSTITUTE OF LAW
The Private Institute of Law is a law school based in Limassol, Cyprus. It was founded in 2014 by Alexandra Elliott and Androulla Poutziouris and offers legal training, accredited by UK providers, for all levels of law students.

ALEXANDRA ELLIOTT
Alexandra holds and LLB Law degree English Law and an LLM in International Trade Law plus a PhD which in contract and property law. She is a qualified English Solicitor and has worked for firms in both the UK and the Cypriot legal sector. Alexandra is an experienced lecturer who has taught at various levels of legal training. Alexandra additionally acts as an examiner for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in the UK.
ANDROULLA POUTZIOURIS
Androulla holds an LLB Law degree in English and French Law. She holds an LLM Masters Degree in International Legal Practice and has completed the Cyprus Bar Examinations, qualifying as a Cyprus Advocate. Androulla has practiced law in Cyprus for a number of years and is an experienced law lecturer with a particular interest in EU law.

TEFL Qualifications
Alexandra and Androulla both completed TEFL Teaching Methodology courses over Christmas, which will help them further in understanding and approaching some of the challenges faced by students studying law in Cyprus.
Appointment as Examinations Scrutiniser
We are pleased to announce that Alexandra has been retained again in her role as examiner for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. The experience of examining helps to give Alexandra a different perspective on vocational legal training.
UNIVERSITY OF LONDON EXAM SUCCESS
Students receiving our University of London mentoring service have enjoyed considerable success in their recent examination results. We pleased to announce that one of our students has been awarded special Achievement Awards by the University of London for her results in both Public law and Contract law, placing her in the top ten highest performing students in those modules worldwide. With a total of 18,000 students studying the programme, we are very proud of her achievement.
